Beliefs

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, which contains no mixture of error. As such, it is the basis for our beliefs. Even more, it reveals to us who God is and His desire to relate to fallen humanity.

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and died as the payment for sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and ascended into heaven where He is now exalted at the right hand of God. There, He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. We believe that it is only through trusting in Him and His sacrifice to repay the debt of our rebellion that one can have a relationship with God.

We believe that God has created all of humanity with the need of community. We seek this primarily with God and then with others. As Followers of Jesus, we believe that we are to seek out community with other Christians in a local church. It is only through doing this that we can grow to be more and more like Jesus.
